‘To Become 2: Arming Oneself’

  • With Flora Fettah, L. Camus-Govoroff, in association with SOMA Marseille

🕸️

To become 2 : arming oneself reflects on the necessity and (im)possibility of violence in a queer perspective. Gathering existing individual works and new common pieces by L. Camus-Govoroff and Eden Dodd, to form a nest, to weave a web, half refuge, half trap.

- Curated and facilitated by Flora Fettah.

The show and residency was formed after a year of exchanges between all three creatives, facilitated between Paris & Marseille, France & Glasgow, Scotland. This collaboration resulted in a two week residency in SOMA, Marseille, where both artists collaborated on creating a new environment; one fit for a spider. Here, the spider and it’s web references community, queerness, and protection in an increasingly dangerous world for us, as queer people.
